HMFH Selected as Project Designer
At its meeting October 24th, the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Designer Selection Panel selected HMFH Architects as the design firm. Pending successful contract negotiations, HMFH will provide crucial and broad services for the project. Ponderings Blog Launched
The AHS Building Committee has launched a new blog called Ponderings. The blog’s mission is to provide in-depth articles on topics of interest. Ponderings‘ first posts, ‘The Role of the Designer‘ and ‘MSBA’s Designer Selection Process‘, discusses the importance of the Designer throughout the building project as well as an explanation of how the Designer is chosen.
Designer Finalists Chosen
Arlington leaders Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine, Superintendent Kathleen Bodie and School Committee Chair Jeff Theilman represented the AHS Building Committee at the MSBA Designer Selection meeting today. The Arlington High School Building Committee views community outreach and engagement as a priority and has created a comprehensive Web site for the AHS Building Project. Using the site, residents can learn more about details of the project and sign up for e-bulletin updates.
Owner’s Project Manager Hired
The Arlington High School Building Committee (AHSBC) has chosen Skanska USA Building, Inc. as the Owner’s Project Manager for the High School building project.
