Site work begins, project on budget

Site work to prepare for Phase 1 construction began in April. Work performed during this period includes site excavation, new sewer and utility lines, new parking lots, and pouring foundations for the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) classroom wing and the Performing Arts wing that will be built in front of the current school, completely separate from the existing school.

In addition, in the Mass. School Building Authority (MSBA) process, a new cost estimate is performed when 60% of the construction documents have been completed. Consigli, the project’s construction manager, recently completed the 60% Construction Document estimate that showed that the project is on budget.

  • The final cost estimate is anticipated at the end of the summer when 90% of the construction documents are complete.

Phase 4 Site Impacts
