Preferred Design Concept Chosen

June 27, 2018

The AHS Building Committee has selected the preferred preliminary design for the future high school.  Preliminary design concept 3a (a variation of 3 with the auditorium moved to the front of the facility) was chosen based on a variety of factors including cost, educational fit, layout, sustainability, construction timeline and disruption to students.

Read the Superintendent’s announcement about the decision and visit our Feasibility Phase page for background information on the project.

During the next step in the process, there will be additional opportunities for community input as the detailed design of the high school is developed.

Below are additional diagrams for the preferred design concept (also available as a pdf).  Here is a preliminary presentation about construction phasing.
