DESCRIPTION:The Arlington High School Building Committee has elected to cancel the October 24th Community Forum to allow better integration of Committee and community feedback into the draft exterior design options before soliciting additional input.  Initial draft concepts were presented at the Oct. 16th Committee meeting and HMFH Architects will present refinements at the November Committee meetings. \nIt is important to the Committee to gather and incorporate community feedback and to not rush the design decisions for this significant project. Updated designs will be presented at the November 27th Community Forum\, 7-9pm at Town Hall. \nThe Committee is committed to an open and transparent design process. Committee meetings are open to the public and have been well attended.  At every meeting\, time is given for public comment both at the beginning and toward the end of the meeting. Let the Building Committee know what you think!   \nThe Building Committee will be submitting the Preferred Schematic Design Option for the new/rebuilt high school in July and is seeking community input.  View the full forum announcement. \nAt this forum: \n\nHMFH Architects will present more details about the four design options\nMSBA process and decisions to-date will be reviewed\nThe Building Committee will outline criteria for choosing the preferred design\nFeedback will be gathered for future Building Committee decisions\n\n\n\nThe Town of Arlington has been invited into the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) process for the renovation/construction of Arlington High School.  Acceptance to the MSBA program does not guarantee state funding. The MSBA approval process must be completed successfully for the state\, via the MSBA\, to provide significant financial assistance to the project.  Local funding must also be assured through passage of a debt exclusion.

DESCRIPTION:NOTE NEW DATE.  Join the discussion about improvements for Arlington High School. The first interactive public forum is scheduled for Wednesday January 10\, 2018 from 7-9pm at Arlington Town Hall. \nThis winter is the beginning of the Feasibility Phase\, and there are several ways the community can take part. \nThis initial forum will discuss the project schedule and study process. Representatives from HMFH and Skanska will be present. Following a half-hour presentation about the Feasibility process\, there will be small group brainstorming discussions\, and an opportunity to share the ideas developed in discussions with the whole group. \nThe kick-off event will be followed by three more interactive Community Forums\, addressing various aspects of the Feasibility Phase.
